No matter what your skill level, come on out and learn the game of basketball the way it was meant to be played.These Sessions will provide your child with a solid foundation leading into the 2008 Travel Basketball Season along with providing a supportive environment for the girls to bond and get to know their fellow teammates. This is also a very important part of our team building activities, which also allows parents to socialize and prepare for the upcoming season.

We recommend that your child participates in our weekly Work Out Sessions.

These Sessions will provide your child with a solid foundation leading into the 2009 Travel Basketball Season along with providing a supportive environment for the girls to bond and get to know their fellow teammates. This is also a very important part of our team building activities, which also allows parents to socialize and prepare for the upcoming season.

The FCAA East Carolina Sting Basketball Club, a non-profit development program providing opportunities for young women ages 8 through 18 to improve their  basketball skills While maintaining a healthy level of personal fitness and self esteem.

The East Carolina Sting will make a positive difference in the lives of young women, primarily through the use of sports and community service, to help them achieve their highest potential as they grow to become more responsible and confident. We will create leaders within the community to hold the highest standard of ethics and we will strive to be the best at what we do.

 

Practice Location Directions:

From Raleigh / Cary / Outer Beltline

I-40 to Exit 299 (Person St/Hammond Road). At exit ramp light, turn right heading (away from Raleigh) south onto Hammond Road. Turn LEFT onto Rush Street (1st traffic light). Cross railroad tracks. Turn LEFT onto Garner Road (1st traffic light). Garner Road YMCA is 1/2 (.5) mile on the RIGHT.

From Raleigh / Louisburg / Inner Beltline

I-40 to Exit 299 (Person St/Hammond Road). At exit ramp light, turn left heading (away from Raleigh) south onto Hammond Road. Turn LEFT onto Rush Street (1st traffic light). Cross railroad tracks. Turn LEFT onto Garner Road (1st traffic light). Garner Road YMCA is 1/2 (.5) mile on the RIGHT.

From Garner / Benson / Clayton Area

Get onto Garner Rd. from HWY 50 ( Corner of  "Toot-n Tell" Restaurant), make a left onto Old Garner Road, heading to Raleigh, drive roughly 4-5minutes through 4 stop lights.  Make a right into the Main GRFYMCA  entrance (Main Entrance for the Main Building.  Do not go to the auxiliary gym (JDL Building).

From Barwell (East Raleigh) / Clayton Area

Take Rock Quarry Rd.  ( heading to Raleigh) Make a left onto Cross link Rd., make a right onto Garner Road, heading to Raleigh, drive roughly 2 minutes,  make a right into the Main GRFYMCA  entrance (Main Entrance for the Main Building.  Do not go to the auxiliary gym (JDL Building).

From Garner / Wake Tech Community College  Area

HWY 401 ( heading to Raleigh) Make a right onto Tryon Rd., make a left onto Garner Road, heading to Raleigh, drive roughly 3 minutes, make a right into the Main GRFYMCA  entrance (Main Entrance for the Main Building.  Do not go to the auxiliary gym (JDL Building).
