Katy is a true self motivator that works independently on assignments. She also possess the strong communication skills that is required to be successful in today's sports media field. Katy's responsibilities within theFCAa.org includes sports event photography coverage and team profiling.

Personal

Katy is a technology student at Middle Creek High School in Apex, North Carolina. Throughout her high school career she has enrolled in numerous journalism and graphic design courses at Middle Creek. She was first inspired in the seventh grade after completing a photography course. Since then she has pursued her interests in photography and design at Middle Creek. Her freshman year she began taking the newspaper course, which eventually led her to become the Layout Editor for the school paper her sophomore and junior years. She also became photographer for Middle Creek's Lady Mustang basketball team. Katy has spent her senior year creating a program of the Lady Mustangs (resembling a college basketball program) as well as returning to photograph the lady mustangs for another season.

Future Plans

In the future, Katy plans to attend either North Carolina State University or Appalachian State University to continue her education in the photographic and design fields.
